Self Cleaning & Detox. How we shut our bodies down from being able to expel the heavy.
Regenerative Bodywork System Course: Part Two
The last two parts of the Bodywork System talked about the quick overview of the needs to go into the body for health. Now we’ll talk about what needs to leave: the purging, flushing, expelling, expression, elimination part that will rebalance your system so that it can Heal. It’s time to let out the heavy, gross, stinky, overheated and toxic.
Considerations first:
Let’s think of the last time you needed to fart. Did you hold it in? Did you feel your stomach gurgle and tighten, did you try to control it so it came out silent? Did you stop and resist the urge because you didn’t want to be offensive?
Do you remember having to pee on a road trip or during a test in school? Did you clench, tighten, and ask for a pass? Did you cramp up? Did you have to wait? Were you turned down? Do you now even notice when you have to pee? Or do you run for the bathroom last minute?
Can you think of when you were a child and you started to tremble, shiver and shake? Did someone say, “It’s not cold or put on a jacket.” Did they know that that is the physical mechanism to release trapped inflammatory adrenaline built up by fear?
Have you ever had tears well up at work? Do you feel comfortable crying in public? Or do you harden around your eyes and feel a burning, gulping it down with a tightness around your throat and chest?
When you’ve had mucous draining, do you swallow it down because it’s “uncouth” to hock a loogie?
When you found out your armpits got stinky, did you close up the pores with antiperspirant or mask with neurotoxic fragrance? Or did you do a hot sauna and detox to sweat out the toxins?
When you got a fever, did you let your body temperature rise to kill the bacteria and sweat out the toxins or did you take an ibuprofen and go to sleep?
Thousands of times things from inside of us have been swallowed down or artificially closed down. We’ve clenched, hardened, and fought against our natural cleaning mechanisms. It became a default. The body says, “I need this out of me!” but instead we’ve held it in, held it back, taken a pill, felt judged, and been called gross because of sweat, stink, tears, itches, pukes, farts, coughs, and belches. Most people can’t even cough in public now because of fear so the fluid and bacteria build up in the lungs.
It’s not lady-like, it’s inappropriate, it’s offensive.” They said
Have we slowly trained our system to shut down around our body trying to clean itself?
The issue:
Most people don’t even know that they are holding in what needs to be able to leave your body. The body was designed to expel inflammation, toxic overload, and other energies outward using naturally designed, innate mechanisms.
Our body knows how to self-clean but what happened? Societal judgment, condemnation, ridicule, and control around the gross or unpleasant stuff coming out of us.
The body has become overtaxed and energy depleted as it's sludged down with that it wasn't meant to hold on to.
Our world has become more inflammatory and toxified on so many levels and includes environmental toxins that we never had before in the history of humanity. Microplastics, synthetic chemicals in food, air, and water, and environmental pollutants from our machines and production. Nonstop content consumption and electrical inputs through bright lights at night, screens, and incessant noise. Hot, bright, violent, or fragmenting energy went into our subtle electrical nervous systems.
Most of us learned to take on but not how to let go.
So the natural, purgative/expelling/elimination, processes of the lymph, urinary and defecation, etc. systems that clean out the blood and tissue got overloaded and shut down due to societal judgments and norms. The toxins remain, causing sicknesses like IBS, brain fog, cancers, and a million other toxic build-ups and meanwhile hardening our tissue and causing the blood to not circulate with ease.
The subconscious holding on happens every time we don’t allow the body to burp, fart, pee when it needs to, sleep when it’s tired, scratch an itch, and so on.
We’ve accidentally learned and been trained to subconsciously hold on - to energies, and physical toxins through subtly gripping our muscles. Now, the body must be retrained: learning to be safe, soft, and ready to face the ugly so that the body can let go and release.
Why (quick breakdown)
Society has (subconsciously or directly) told us to hold our farts, burps, coughs, swallow mucus, not itch, not to crack our joints, hold our pee, not itch, not cry in public, not twitch, and not even be able to poop in public bathrooms. It has judged sweaty palms and stinky feet.
Every cleansing and expelling mechanism the body has been controlled or shamed because it is the stinky, the hot, the inappropriate, and the “gross”
Over time, thousands of repetitions of holding in farts, tears, or burps subconsciously trained our bodies to be constricted by unspoken (or spoken) judgments and shut down.
The toxic and inflammatory don’t have any other way to get out. It starts to accumulate in our tissue and slows down or shuts down the regenerative capability of the body. It also causes illness of many kinds.
Many Western medicines shut down the ability of the body to purge- fevers brought down not allowed to sweat out and release inflammatory stuff, Anti-diarrhea meds that don’t allow the natural process of self-flushing to come to completion. There are important times that we can support healing with Western modern medicine but its overuse has also created a stagnant system that cannot feel nor expel.
Water will help the purgative systems flow, move blood through tissue, and expel the fluids that trap the toxic and hot.
Softening, safety and non-judgement of the body’s natural mechanisms will heal ourselves.
The fix:
Notice, soften, open, acknowledge, validate, respond to, and release.
As the body is filled with oxygen and life-creating ingredients it won’t feel panicked and starved. It will begin to feel safer and unwind.
This creates a clear state where we can notice gurgles, twitches, twinges, tingles, heat, tightness, and itches. There are other many layers and levels to allow the body to feel safe again, soften again, and be able to release the old that doesn’t serve on physical and emotional levels.
Bringing attention to the subtle bodily needs and giving yourself a safe space to release what is trying to get out. Getting the constricted body to notice it is even holding tension is crucial (in the eyes, in the anus, in the stomach, in the face, wherever) The more you clench, the more the body thinks this is a normal state. Start to unwind your jaw, your stomach, your hands, piece by piece.)
Don’t judge yourself or criticize yourself for sweats, smells, tears, etc. Self-talk like “You are disgusting, nasty, or gross.” isn’t helpful.
Some Practical applications
Stop closing down lymph flush by putting on antiperspirants.
Try a detox program to clean the liver and kidneys.
Try the sauna and warm Epsom bath to assist with detox.
Next time you have a weird poop, let it out rather than take meds to shut it down.,
Listen to if you need to pee, burp, itch, or crack. Do it immediately, step outside or to the bathroom, and let it rip.
Pay attention to if you are holding in a fart, burp, sigh, groan, or cry.
Get into a meditative unwind/soften state and the body will start to open back up. It truly is a retraining to get the body back to equilibrium after decades of momentum closing down.
Because of the thousands of subconscious impulses, it will take time, awareness and practice.
Extended:
Putting toxic, inflammatory things in the body will eventually have to go out this includes food, chemical toxins and pollutants in air and water, and violent and fragmenting content in the form of videos or music. The more you put in, (toxic, tight, and inflammatory) the more has to come out. So reducing the inputs will make for faster, easier healing.

Let’s normalize and accept this beautiful self-cleaning body and let it get back to healing us. Better out than in. Happy farting.
If you missed what we need to put in our system to heal: Start here-
As i said to someone the other day....... The body knows what to do. It is our societal basd mindset that does not. We feel we can overrule our body. We feel we can control our body. The same we feel we can control nature. Luv what you said here. I hope folks listen to you. Great one Megan. The body just needs to be left on its own. We are the ones that get in the way.
Better out than in! That’s what my granny used to say! ✨
