Rumi has a poem called, Only Breath. Here are the last lines your post inspired me to read and share --

"I belong to the beloved, have seen the two

worlds as one and that one call to and know,

first, last, outer, inner, only that

breath breathing human being."

Incredible share. The breath is connected to every layer of our being. It starts with one.

Thank you so much for this! I have a stuffy nose a lot. I’m going to get started with this and see how it changes that! 🙏

for particularly stuffy noses. do an extended version - pause the video and work out areas that feel tender. then tilt your head forward. When you blow. press back and forth between nostrils so the mucous doesn’t blow out your ears and cause ear problems. or drain down the throat causing throat inflammation :) take a few breaths into the back of the throat as well! hope it helps!

Megan is this what helps breathing through your nose at night?✨

it definitely can. If the body has had limited passage through the nose and sinuses it starts to breath from the mouth. If you open up the nasal passage it can make a difference in snoring and mouth breathing. Also the type of pillow you use can affect it, (aligning the spine so air can flow through) If it’s been going on for a long time, sometimes you have to retrain the body to sleep with the mouth closed (mouth taping at night)

That felt so good thank you! I have a question for you. i wonder if you know what I'm talking about.. I notice I can choose to breathe in a different way, where I somehow "connect" the breath to like what feels like a subtle energy. The experience is that it becomes almost a bit harder to breath, almost like breathing water. It is like ujaji breath, but more subtle. Almost like a soft friction. It also feels like a physical opening somewhere inside behind the sides of my nose. And it feels like 20 times more nourishing that my normal "unconnected" breath.. Do you know what I'm talking about? I never heard anyone name or talk about this experience, and mostly when I have mentioned it I have been met by question marks ?I

If you would stand in the forest and I would tell you to inhale the energy of the forest slowly through your nose, this is probably how you would breathe. What is that? Energy? Why are we not always breathing in that way?

Amazing. there are infinite ways to breathe that absolutely move and direct/ connect to different kinds of energy. This is really important that you are feeling this. Yes. there are ways to breath to literally regenerate cells and take on more life force. I will start to share different breathing techniques. the hardest part about teaching people this is actually that they don’t tune into subtlety (people used to a screaming world don’t know how to feel the “tickle or zing”) It seems like you tuned into the “regenerative breath” - that’s what I call it anyways. It’s calming but invigorating. but its also soothing to the system. the softer than ujai is important because the throat and nose don’t close up :) Part of the reason i have people open sinus and nasal passages first is to 1. create the mind body connection and see a quick difference (it's a powerful one) 2. Tune into the thing thing in the middle of the face (people look at it every day) so it's easier to connect to. 3. actually get more air into the system. 4. increase smell. (yes. you will be able to smell more acutely) Most people can't feel the insides of their nostrils to be able to connect to air. but it's Important! (when we learn to direct energy like air- the doors it open are literally magic) i can crack my back with a breath, move energy through my body to others and am even seeing other weird fun things i"m experimenting with. tuning into air is tuning into the invisible. Try this. Let the forest breathe with you. let the air breathe you. you aren't even the doer of the breath. with our focus and the attention. miracles are possible.

yes beautiful thank you for expanding on all of this. the regenerative breath. Mmm yes certainly deeply regulating yet so invigorating it almost makes me dizzy and tingly all over. Yes I resonates also with how it is so subtle I probably wouldn't have been able to notice it a few years ago, it is like a new sense has activated. I know how it also is breathing me! ..from one point of view. and from this other point of view, I can inhale it. I remember now: I asked a beloved teacher about this experience of energy and connection: She gave it several names, the one that really struck me was: Spanda.

Haha I love how you point out the value of being tuned into the thing in the middle of your face 😊 It was completely new for me with this kind of nose massage, I felt really good. I will explore it more. And I fully supermuch appreciate your patient reminder to keep breathing. So Important. I feel deeply nourished.

Also I need to mention how a line in my latest post is exactly "My breath is the breath of the forest" ✨ We are right on track 🙏
